Tommy Igoe is a proud endorser of Yamaha drums. Here is a breakdown of the various lines Tommy plays:
Yamaha Club Custom Series
Inspired by some of the great vintage drums in history, Club Custom gives vintage drum buffs the warm tone and controlled sustain they are used to, with the advantages of modern manufacturing techniques for consistency and better projection. The swirl finish process pays homage to some of the great finishes of yesterday by creating the effect in lacquer for less restriction to shell vibration.
More drums will be added soon!
Avedis Zildjian I (the first) was an Armenian alchemist in the city of Constantinople in theseventeenth century. His attempts to create gold by combining base metals led instead to an alloy of copper, tin and traces of silver with unique sound qualities.
Avedis used this discovery to create cymbals of spectacular clarity and power. The sound of the instruments was extraordinary, and as his reputation grew he was given the name “Zildjian”, an Armenian word meaning “son of cymbal maker.”
The Zildjian secret alloy is now nearly four centuries old. It has been passed down between Zildjian heirs for fourteen generations. Currently, Armand Zildjian’s two daughters, Craigie and Debbie are continuing the family tradition. Zildjian has been officially recognized as the oldest continually family-owned business in America.
The Zildjian brand stands for more than expertise and a rich heritage of high quality craftsmanship. Its essence is found in every thread of the drumming community, weaving together students, teachers, pros, old, young, and everyone in between.
From the beginning, the leaders of the company have stayed close to the working musicians in order to understand their experiences and needs. By sustaining these close bonds and looking to them for insight into the design and manufacturing of innovative and extraordinarily sounding cymbals, Zildjian has maintained its position as the world’s leading cymbal manufacturer.
Zildjian’s reputation for exceeding customer expectations and needs can be attributed to both its sharp focus on continuous quality improvement and innovation, and its emphasis on the family character and rich tradition of the business. Zildjian’s enduring values—leadership, commitment to quality and craftsmanship, passion for music and fun, music education, and a strong family heritage and culture—have guided the company in carrying out its vision over the years.
Tommy Igoe is a loyal Zildjian endorser.

Vic Firth Drumsticks
Introducing the All-New Tommy Igoe Signature Stick!
With such a wide array of musical styles explored during his career, it’s no wonder Tommy turned to Vic Firth to create a very versatile stick!
“I needed a stick with the ability to feel ‘neutral’ in my hands as I switched musical styles,” explains Igoe. “The goal was to create a stick that is as well-rounded as possible…one stick for multiple styles that is musically appropriate and responsive. This stick is a chameleon, allowing me to produce the softest buzz roll to slamming rim shots!”
Tommy’s new Groove Essentials™ Signature Stick features a “Taj Mahal” tip that is ideal for sensitive cymbal work. The extended taper and length add leverage to this hickory stick for great feel and power when needed.
The stick gets its Groove Essentials™ name from Tommy’s series of books, DVDs and posters which are currently some of the world’s most popular drum instructional products. His concern for education is a high priority in his life and blends perfectly with Vic Firth!
“The commitment from Vic Firth to elevate our industry through quality products, music education and outreach that truly has an impact on the lives of everyday players and teachers means so much,” comments Igoe. “As my career progresses, I look to mentors and examples to help light my path. I look to Vic Firth.”

Evans Drumheads has been in the music industry for more than 40 years. Decades ago, Evans was the pioneer of drumhead manufacturing and design. Today, we they the innovators.
Most people don’t realized that Evans invented the synthetic (or plastic, or polyester) drumhead in 1956. Chick Evans was the first person to use polyester film to form a drumhead, succeeding in creating a weatherproof head, and ultimately changing the drum world forever.
Tremendous efforts and unprecedented breakthroughs have been made in improving Chick’s invention. The results are evident from the countless compliments that Evans receives daily from professionals, amateurs, hobbyists and students alike. Consistency is unparalleled. The sound is unbelievable. Durability has reached an all-time high. Plus, Evans recently became the first and only drumhead manufacturer to be certified ISO9001 compliant, a certification that proves their commitment to quality.
Evans has raised the bar on drumhead quality and consistency. For example, it was Evans who introduced a water-cooled molding process, which preserves the integrity of the head’s center. Development of such products as the MX Marching heads, Tri-Center Conga and Bongo heads, and the EMAD bass drumhead illustrate Evans’ commitment to setting new standards, with no sign of slowing down.
